- CPTED Quick Start
- This one-day course is the express route to learning the CPTED basics. Starting with the seven CPTED principles and moving on to cover situational CPTED, and integrated approaches to crime prevention. You will learn CPTED theory and how to apply it to everyday problems. This course can be tailored to meet your organisations needs and is best suited to those involved in community engagement, Policing, Neighbourhood Support, design or who would benefit from being able to identify areas of concern in their community.
CPTED Foundation Level OneThis two day (incl. one night) workshop covers a practical approach to crime and security problems. During this packed workshop you will conduct a site audit in both daylight and darkness and you will learn about CPTED application including the seven principles of CPTED, as well as the following areas:
* Commercial, Retail, Institutional, Residential and Transportation * CPTED research and development * Concepts and Strategies * Situational crime prevention * Crime Prevention approaches * Lighting and site assessment techniques
You will learn how to apply CPTED concepts and strategies learned for the direct benefit of your organisation. This would benefit those that need to put CPTED into practice, for example urban designers, landscape architects, Council community safety advisors, community Police and those that intend to go on to an advanced level.
CPTED AdvancedThis course builds on what you have learned at the foundation level, and extends it to include developing your own tool kit, site visits, audits and presentations. You will learn to assess designs, advanced lighting, crowded places security, practical application of CPTED concepts and will set you up to be a CPTED practitioner. It’s suited to those that will assess and then design solutions to solve crime or safety issues for their organisation, those who work in the design and development of public and urban spaces, those that wish to make a career from implementing the CPTED principals or just people who are interested in going in depth to the history, implementation and have a passion for solving environmental safety issues.
